So damn, meetup costs $12 a month at the lowest rate. My desire was to start a “Lakeland Tech Creatives” meetup to find others hacking on software/hardware projects. That’s totally a waste of money if nobody here is interested but me. Given that I’ve been here a year and haven’t had much luck finding people up to this point, I think I know how it’ll turn out.
As I age I seem to be getting more idealistic rather than jaded.
Idealistic, yes. The difficult thing is that I’m losing patience in dealing with things that don’t appear to be trending in those positive directions. This may be a bad thing.
